Transmission: Manual 5 speed
Upholstery: Leather/Cloth (Black)
Description: This is a U.S. specification very reliable 1974 Targa Porsche 914 (removable top that stores in the trunk). It has a built D21 Nissan 3.0 liter H.O. OHV V6 with a long duration/high lift camshaft that puts motor at around 170 HP and lots of torque. Engine has also been adapted to accept a Weber 32/38 carburetor. Ignition is from a Chevrolet High Energy Distributor (electronic ignition). Car averages 25-26 MPG. I also have the race 48/48 Weber that goes with this car for even more horsepower at the expense of some fuel economy. The adapter plate is from K.E.P. (Kennedy Engineering Products) out of California. This car has the stock 4 wheel disc brakes along with a fully adjustable front torsion bar (easy ride height adjust-ability). All gauges function and include Auto Meter instruments and sending units. I have plenty of receipts that include a complete rebuilt 5 speed transmission and new clutch along with the KEP Nissan to Porsche adapter plate. This car is very fast at 120 MPH +. It is the best handling car I have ever owned and corners like it’s on rails with its Pirelli tires. Car weighs less than 1000 kilograms. It also has a modern JVC stereo system with Bluetooth, Hands Free phone, CD, USB, AM/FM along with a Blaupunkt Amplifier and Mac-Audio speakers.
This is a rust free car from Texas/California with a Tennessee title and currently registered with the USAREUR system. This is a solid driver that is a reliable car and easy to work on. I also have plenty of spare parts and history documentation. The D21 motor has tube headers and a stainless steel Borla exhaust mufflers. There is too much to list here like a true "MoMo Course" steering wheel and the front mounted Aluminum coolers with electric fans.
The paint is “OK” but not perfect with a few scratches and blemishes. This is fun car that gets a lots looks and surprises folks on the Autobahn with its acceleration and top speed. Please no tire kickers or Porsche purist that will complain about me changing out a lame 70 HP 4 cylinder engine with a 3.0 liter Nissan V6. Yes, I have the engine cover. Call for a test drive and take a look at this really unique car.
