USB 3.0 und Gigabit-LAN
Trotz des dünnen Gehäuses haben es Toshibas Konstrukteure geschafft, eine Reihe vollwertiger Schnittstellen einzubauen. Vollwertig deswegen, weil es sich um keine Micro-Versionen handelt, für deren Nutzung Sie unter Umständen Adapter benötigen. Abgesehen vom USB-3.0-Port, dem Kopfhörerausgang, dem Mikrofoneingang und dem SD-Kartenleser befinden sich die meisten Schnittstellen auf der Gehäuserückseite: Gigabit-LAN, zwei USB-2.0-Ports, HDMI und VGA. Despite the slim casing, Toshiba's designers managed to incorporate a range of full-featured interfaces. These aren't micro versions, which might require adapters. Aside from the USB 3.0 port, the headphone jack, the microphone jack, and the SD card reader, most of the ports are located on the back of the case: Gigabit LAN, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, and VGA. One of the two USB 2.0 ports even offers a practical sleep-and-charge function. This means you can charge USB devices without the notebook having to be active. Additionally, Bluetooth 3.0 and n-WLAN are available.

The magnesium casing is only 16 millimeters thick. Thanks to the integrated honeycomb structure, it's also quite durable. The somewhat soft surface yields only slightly under pressure but otherwise maintains its stability. The total weight is just 1.1 kilograms, making it by far the lightest Ultrabook currently available.
